Welcome Prospective Members

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all prospective new members of the Neurosurgical Society of America. Our society has a strong tradition of fostering professional collaboration and camaraderie for our members, guests, and their families. Please see below for more information on the membership application process.

Prospective members must be proposed for Neurosurgical Society of America (NSA) by an existing NSA Member.

In addition, prospective members must:

• Attend at least one annual meeting prior to proposal for membership
• Attend three meetings and present at least one paper at a meeting before being voted on for membership
• Be under age 50 at time of initial proposal (special exemption for military service members)
• Have one proposer and two sponsors (active or senior members) for a total of three letters of recommendation
• Be ABNS certified or equivalent (e.g. FRCS)
